Meet Charles Thomas, Jr.
Charles Thomas, Jr. is an experienced Pennsylvania attorney who has spent more than two decades representing individuals facing serious criminal charges and complex legal proceedings. Licensed to practice in Pennsylvania since 2002, Charles represents clients in both state and federal courts throughout the Commonwealth.
His criminal-defense practice encompasses a broad range of matters, including DUI, assault, disorderly conduct, theft, drug offenses, sex offenses, homicide, probation and parole violations, white-collar crimes, and embezzlement. Charles has handled hundreds of DUI cases, from first-time offenses eligible for Pennsylvania’s Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition (ARD) program to serious felony-level cases involving aggravated assault while driving under the influence.
Charles brings extensive courtroom experience to his practice. He has represented clients in proceedings ranging from Pennsylvania Magisterial District Courts through the appellate courts, including matters before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. His experience includes suppression hearings, bench trials, jury trials, and other contested criminal proceedings.
His representation also extends beyond the initial criminal case. Charles assists clients with criminal appeals, petitions under Pennsylvania’s Post Conviction Relief Act (PCRA), expungements, pardons, probation and parole matters, and other post-conviction issues. This broad experience allows him to evaluate a criminal matter not only in terms of the immediate charges, but also with consideration for the long-term consequences a case may have on a client’s future.
Throughout his career, Charles has developed a reputation among clients and fellow attorneys for his knowledge of criminal law, courtroom advocacy, direct communication, and commitment to helping clients understand the legal process. His approach emphasizes providing clients with straightforward guidance, explaining their available options, and developing a defense strategy based on the circumstances of each individual case.
For individuals facing criminal charges, an investigation, a probation or parole issue, or a post-conviction matter in Pennsylvania, Charles provides experienced representation focused on protecting his clients’ rights and guiding them through every stage of the criminal justice process.
